Summer Camps for ages 3-6yr. have been wildly successful!

This past week, dancers re-recreated “Giraffes Can’t Dance!” They had a blast as we cha-cha’d, Waltzed, Tangoed, Skipped, Chassed, and Rock 'n Rolled our way through the morning. 

Our next camps are listed. They are only $39 and guarantee to be the “Highlight of You Week!”

Wednesday - July 10th—Unicorns and Rainbows. This camp will start by reading “Never Let a Unicorn Wear a Tutu!” It's such a fun book. We’ll bring it to life by wearing tutus, prancing, chasseing, wearing bows, and making jewelry. All while learning some ballet and having fun.

Wednesday, July 24th - Join us for a reading one of Pete the Cat books and make the book come to life with some fun hip hop, games and crafts.

Wednesday, July 31st—Dance Nancy. We’ll be reading a book and making it come to life with dress-ups, a tea party, dancing, and more!

This is perfect for families who need a little something to get through the summer before the school schedule starts.

“I began my dance journey at the age of two, and started dancing competitively at my local studio by age five. Throughout high school, I passionately pursued competitive dance at a studio. In 2018, I had the incredible opportunity to join West Coast Dance Explosion's Fuzion Dance Company, allowing me to expand my dance horizons. During both my junior and senior years of high school, I was privileged to be part of my studio’s Touring Group, allowing me to compete at dance competitions across the nation. When I was a senior in high school, I was the Captain of my studio’s non-profit Ballet Company, La Danse Fatale. Presently, I'm an active member of the St. Thomas Club Dance Team”.

Cede will teach ballet barre and then ballet combo to ages 10+

Auditions for The Dancing House Performance Company & Solos, Duets and Small Groups

We’re excited to take our program to the next level through an audition process for our Performance Company.

This year, we are introducing a competition aspect for dancers who want to perform a solo, duet, or small group. This is a pilot program, and we are excited about offering this opportunity to our dancers. Students aged 10 and older must audition and will be given the opportunity to be in the performance company and/or a solo, duet or small group.

Kids from Wisconsin - A Great concert that the whole family will love FREE!

Summer is the perfect time for park concerts, and one of my favorites is The Kids from Wisconsin! Did you know that Ms. Melissa used to be part of this group? Yes, she performed with them for three years after auditioning three times to get in. Then, she went on to choreograph for the organization for another three years. Do you see a pattern? (Can you find Ms. Melissa in photo?)

July 19th at the UWRF Amphitheater @ 7pm

Bring your lawn chair.  Food vendors are available as well.

The Dancing House is Hiring

If you are interested in working with students of all ages, you need a strong education in tap, ballet, or hip hop. A dance major or minor would be ideal, but it is not necessary. However, a resume that includes prior dance experience is a must, and prior experience with children is ideal. Please only apply if you are over 18.
