 TDH’s First Breaking Jam Was a Huge Success! 

What an incredible event! TDH hosted its very first Breaking Jam, and the energy was off the charts!

Dancers from all backgrounds came together to battle in the most fun, encouraging, and positive atmosphere. The breaking culture is all about respect, community, and pure joy, and we saw it all in action today. Even our littlest breakers got on the floor, experiencing what it’s like to dance in front of the pros!

A huge shoutout to our amazing instructors B-boy Skeletor (Victor) and B-girl Chachara (Xiomara) for leading this event and bringing their expertise to TDH. Because of their influence, Hudson is now on the map for breaking culture!

Our Competition Ladies Performed in their FIRST Competition this weekend! 

TDH Takes the Stage at Our First-Ever Competition!

This past weekend, our four dancers took the stage for The Dancing House’s first-ever competition, and we could not be prouder! Both duets and solos earned High Golds, but beyond the awards, they demonstrated incredible growth, dedication, and sportsmanship. Since beginning these routines in September, they have made tremendous strides in technique, confidence, and performance quality. More importantly, they fully embraced the competition experience—learning, growing, supporting each other, and connecting with the dance community. It was an inspiring weekend, and we can't wait for what’s next! 🌟✨

Miss Rhylinn was also featured on the Masquarade socials for her gorgeous leap!

It's Rainbow Dress Up Week at TDH March 24 - 29

Who doesn’t love a reason to wear all the colors of the rainbow!  What a way to bring some color into the studio just before spring starts springing!

Celebrating 20 Years of The Phipps Dance Company!

Did you know that Ms. Melissa taught dance at The Phipps for 13 years before founding The Dancing House? During her time there, she and her colleague Barb Suick co-founded The Phipps Dance Company (TPDC), creating a space for dancers to take their training to the next level.

This weekend, TPDC is celebrating its 20th season, and to commemorate the milestone, Melissa and Barb were invited back to stage a piece for the concert. Ms. Melissa choreographed a musical theatre jazz piece to "Hernando’s Hideaway," bringing her signature style back to the stage.

How exciting to reconnect with TPDC and see the vision we had 20 years ago still thriving!

RECITAL DAY will be here before you know it!

ALL students are welcome to participate in the recital. It is NOT required.  We do not charge students a performance fee. However, we do charge a $15 ticket for all spectators.  These fees help cover the cost of the theatre rental and staffing for the day.

Studio Pics for our year long classes (ages 8+) will be Monday and Tuesday May 5 & 6

Nursing Home Performances for ALL classes will be the week of May 12. 

Monday May 12,  Red Cedar Canyon 6-7pm  - Monday, Wednesday, & Friday Company Classes

Thursday May 15th, Cambridge Senior Center 6-8pm - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday Classes

Recital will be May 17th at 2pm and 4pm. 

Our year long classes will perform in BOTH recitals.  Our six week sessions will be split between the 2pm and 4pm recitals.

This audition is open to performers ages 10 and up.

Teen/Adult auditions (ages 13 & up) will be held on Saturday, April 5, 12:30-4:30 PM.
Children's auditions (ages 10-13) will be held on Sunday, April 6, 12:30-2:30 PM.

Consider private lessons.  They are a great way to double down on the work they learn in class and go further faster.  Work on technique, focus on turns or leaps or clean that solo for competition!  You'll leave the studio stronger and even more confident!

It didn’t take us long to realize this was the studio for us. Ms. Melissa is all around awesome and my young daughter loves dance class. I love that you can make up session if you get sick and don’t lose out. I also love the 6 week session that we could drop out or pause if needed. I doubt we will ever pause dance, but nice to know we can 😊
